I first began my genealogy journey back in 2006 when I entered a genealogy binder for 4-H. I entered every year until my last year of eligibility and won Reserve Champion that last year. over the 6 years that followed my tree grew and so did my passion for family research. It’s allowed to to meet people I would have never know I was related to otherwise and has acted as a stress-relieving past time, most of the time. in 2013 I decided to really dig in and try to uncover more about the Salay side of my family with the hopes of compiling a family book that I am currently in the process of writing. This blog details my struggles tracking down information and the surprises and stories I’ve had along the way.
If you are a Salay/Salaj from the United States, Canada, or Europe who thinks we might have a connection, please feel free to contact me!
